    Wondering why there has not been any press on Union Grounds on Smith St. Not too shabby. Good food, decent prices. Nice place to cath a game on Smith that is not a dive bar.  More»

  • new bar on stuyvesant and Halsey, and other new development questions

    Noticing some paper in the window, I peered into the storefront next door to the laundromat building on the northwest corner of Halsey and Stuyvesant. A worker inside confirmed that a bar is planned for the space. Any intel on this?
    Also, does anyone know what is planned for the northeast corner of Stuyvesant and Macon?
    Finally, any intel on the new storefront just east of the southeast corner of Halsey and Lewis?  More»

    Too many places are opening now at bed-study, specially that corner. Our residential place turned into commercial place. we the owner of the neighborhood can't even find place to park anymore due people coming from outside. See More »
  • Can anyone help with my letter of no objection situation?

    I am opening a beer and wine bar in Bushwick. The space I have leased was a deli/grocery (bodega). It is on the ground floor of a multi-family apartment building (typical in the neighborhood). There is no C of O on file therefore I know I have to obtain a letter of no objection. My architect told me to say that the current use of the space was as a restaurant since they do make food there and have tables for people to eat.
