  • Anyone have a sauna installed in their Brooklyn home?

Hi there. When we bought our house it came with an old sauna. I probably wouldn't install a sauna from scratch but since there is one there, and the space is somewhat awkward and not usable for much else, I am looking into having a new, workable, more energy efficient sauna installed.

Has anyone had a sauna kit installed in their Brooklyn home? Looking for a sauna installer or a contractor who has had experience installing sauna kits.

    Much appreciated.  More»

Given the amount of cosmetic work identified in your scope, I would recommend against going the contractor/architect combo route. They will most likely work to the interest of each other rather than yourself and are likely to cut corners to benefit their bottom line. By hiring an architect as a se...... See More »
  • General Contractor Recommendation

I am writing to recommend Keith Lleras and his team at No Limit Contracting (646-208-6424, nolimitcontracting@gmail.com). They did an excellent job renovating our 2,000 sq ft duplex apartment in Park Slope (2012). We interviewed a small handful of contractors, all referred by trusted friends who also happen to be architects. We selected Keith because he was willing to work within our fairly tight budget. First, I will say that he is fully licensed and insured. The work we had done was mostly cosmetic with some plumbing/electrical as well. On one le...  More»

You are not obligated to tip, if at the end of the assemble you are a hundred percent satisfied you could tip them but if the funds are not there you shouldn't feel bad if you don't tip cause you are already paying a fee for the service. I am a contractor and I never expect to get tip or for my guys...... See More »

I strongly recommend you not hire someone on an hourly basis. They bear no responsibility for misjudging how much work the project will take. Hire a contractor for a fixed amount. Now if you change things mid-construction, or if the contractor discovers that the joists are rotted and need replaci...... See More »
  • Renovation work estimate
