Bureau of Electrical Control Access by phone

What is the phone number for the bureau of electrical control?  I want to speak to somebody in the permit department.   It's about a small residential job.  311 gave a phone number which was useless.

    Oh wow, sorry.  I had a permitting issue last year and I used that number.  Someone actually answered and said Department of Buildings, Electrical Division (or something to that effect).  They must have changed the system.  Last year I was able to talk to someone right away.   Sorry to pass along bad info....
