My friend has a 3 story townhouse in Carroll Gardens, about 2,000 sq ft of space. She pays a cleaning lady about $140 every other week. It takes the cleaning lady 6 hrs to go thru all 3 floors.

We pay $300 for weekly cleaning of 3500 square feet in Park Slope. It takes a team of three women 3-4 hours to dust all woodwork and surfaces, mop all floors, change all sheets and towels, clean kitchen, baths, and laundry, take out trash, etc. They also do something extra each week like clean fans, light shades, etc. No laundry.

I had the same question for bklyn bound. We have been searching for someone to clean our 3 floors once the house is finished. Am quite curious and wonder if your friend would share their cleaning lady's info.

To those asking for my friend's cleaning lady ... I asked her and she asked her cleaning lady and she said she's totally booked and is no longer taking any new jobs. Apparently her cleaning lady has a long waiting list of potential clients! Sorry.
