Expeditor wants to visit mid-construction?

3:44 PM 01/25/2012

I'm midway through a muti-month renovation project on our townhouse.  We're totally legit with permits and licensed contractors and whatnot... but lately our expeditor has popped back up, asking if he can come by and see how things are going. I would think it's just out of genuine interest (he's worked with my contractor in the past; might just want say hi and take a look) but I'm also fearful that his visit could incur DOB-related issues if he sees things that aren't on the up-and-up.  Not that there should be anything wrong, but you never know.
Am I being paranoid?   Are these visits normal?  They're not like inspections, are they?

Expeditor does not work for the DOB. Why would he go tell the DOB anything? He's on your team.

Thanks, i was hoping that was the case This is our first time using an expeditor, so I just didn't know how the whole process goes, how expeditors work, and where their loyalties are. :)
