Can you recommend an arborist?

Hi, Looking for recommendations for a liscensed arborist to inspect what appears to be a dying tree, as well as cut and/or remove tree from our 18X40 back yard in Brooklyn.
Also, what can one expect to pay for tree services? The tree-in-question is a 30' Japanese maple.

Thanks for your help!

We've used Bartlett Tree Experts (www.bartlett.com) and have been happy with their service and prices.

I just used Lawrence Schultz, 267-241-6858, he's local, despite the area code. He and his crew took down a dead honey locust, about 50 feet high, that died last year, but uprooted in last weekend's constant rain, and had fallen against my neighbor's back bay. A large branch, supporting it on their house, was all that was keeping it from falling, taking out windows and the fence, at the very least.
Lawrence was amazing. He managed to cut down a lot of smaller branches from the roof, and then, achored by rigging to my roof, systematically took the tree down. They had used heavy duty building scaffolding to hold up the trunk, which was at a 45 degree angle to the ground. He shimmied down the trunk, cut the branch resting on the house, the scaffolding held, and in less than an hour after that, the entire tree was down to the last cut on the bottom of the trunk. There was no damage to my neighbor's house, his fence, or my property, at all. I can't recommend him in any higher fashion.
He was extremely reasonable in price, his guys cleaned up everything, and they were all very nice and respectful to me and my property. It was a very stressful time for me, seeing an enormous heavy tree leaning on a neighbor's property, and they were just great. Hire them!!!!!
