I just got a Samsung Galaxy Tab, which seems to work fine with many web sites, but for Brownstoner I get "Web page not available".
Does anyone know if Brownstoner is somehow blocked from Android devices in general, my specific tablet, or the AT&T browser it uses? If that's the case I'll probably return the tablet.

sounds like a connectivity issue.. try again and let us know.

I just spent a loooong time on thje phone with AT&T tech support and they solved the problem. For whatever reason Brownstoner doesn't work with the pre-installed AT&T browser (at least on THIS Samsung tablet) but they had me download Opera 11 and that gets me to Brownstoner. However, when I tried to ANSWER here onmy tablet I got the message "Oops, We were unable to adapt the page you requested for your mobile phone". I'll see if I can download an Android version of Firefox in tghe hope that it'll work better.

Is "connectivity" code for we don't know what the problem is, so we'll pretend it's a user issue? Because I've already sent feedback about the same problem using Safari on iPhone ("Cannot Open Page. Safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found."), a problem that did not exist via iPhone the first two days of the redesign, and does not exist using Safari with a cable connection. Performing a Google search via iPhone (can no longer use a bookmark or icon) and then Google options:mobile formatted, I can access only some of the site and only some of the comments (and therefore am only pleased some of the time, especially since the mobile format is so pathetic). How about you guys try logging on with various mobile devices and report back on your own connectivity problems?

I had a long talk with Brownstoner's computer mavans. It seems that the problem is neither with Samsung nor Android devices, but with AT&T's 3G network. Verizon Galaxy tabs work with Brownstoner; AT&T iPads, for example, don't. They're working on it. I can indeed use Brownstoner with wifi and am writing this post with my tablet at K-Dog. I came close to returning this tablet, and would surely have done so if I only had the clueless oafs at AT&T and (especially) at Samsung Tech Support to rely on.

It's nearly a year later now. My 3G tablet has never worked quite right on Brownstoner. For example, I could comment on homepage items using Dolphin Browser, but could not do so on Forum items except. Once in a while I could post Forum comments using Opera, but more often these were cut off after a few words. Fortunately my old tablet broke and got replaced with a newer 4G model this week. That works just fine with Brownstoner, even using the default browser that came installed on tha Samsung 8.9 tablet.
