Floor Tile Store

3:58 PM 01/27/2013

Looking to put down a patterned floor tile in the entry area of my brownstone.  Does anyone in this wonderful crowd know of a store or resource where I can find a patterned, and affordable tile in the vain of the below photo? I already know of L'Antiquario but was hoping to find other resources.  I'm located in brooklyn if that helps.  Many thanks.

I ordered tile from England for past similar projects.  You can see two of them on my website gmcandd.com.  One is a reproduction of a brownstone vestibule, the other based on a depression-modern design.  Both use the same tile.  It is not expensive, not hand molded tile, but takes a few weeks to arrive.  There are some other options.  My initial consultations are complementary.  You can also contact me through the Brownstoner website under tile and stone.   - Green Mountain.

We are working with the Cement Tile Shop on a similarly sized and patterned project. Many of the cement tile wholesellers we have come in contact with require fairly high minimum purchases, but the Cement Tile Shop does not.  The lead time is lengthy, though, so if you are on a tight time frame, you may want to look only at the in stock tile. http://www.cementtileshop.com/

You might try Esperance Tile Works in Albany. http://www.lesperancetileworks...nbsp; A quick look at their site didn't reveal anything exactly like the photo you show, but if you click on "field tiles" you might find something shaped right. This is a small enough operation that it's possible you can get custom colors, etc.
