Finding 1940s Tax Photo?

5:49 PM 02/25/2013

Hi all,
I'm looking for the old tax photos of our home. As I understand it, the city took photos of every building in the 1930s/1940s and again in the 1980s. I could only find the 1980s one (by searching the street address here:  http://nycma.lunaimaging.com/l.... Any advice on how to find the older one? Perhaps it just hasn't been put online yet?

Can you re-enter the link to that site? I keep getting an error message. Thx.

    • When you get an error message, delete the last character (sometimes last three characters) and try again.

I just did a search for tax photos. All I could come up with is this link:
    http://www.nyc.gov/html/record...
Apparently the city now sells hardcopy photos of any house. I couldn't find any downloadable photos.

Apologies for the broken link. Some of them, at least, are online. Click the "Enter the Online Gallery Here" link on this page:  http://www.nyc.gov/html/record...
But maybe not the older 1930s/1940s ones? Has anyone successfully found older photos of their homes on that site (or elsewhere)?
