Why do I need to accept "Third-Party Cookies" to post on Brownstoner?

While I'm sure that Brownstoner's cookies are fine, other third-party
cookies sometimes can be problematic. Changing my settings every time I
want to post here is just too much of a pain.

Since this switch, I
haven't posted or commented on the new site and find myself visiting
less--though that may have more to do with the redesign or perhaps my
interest in the subject, I suppose.

I'm accepting them for this session, but will be switching back as soon as I post this.

Anyone else feel the same?

I think it's because comments are hosted on disqus.com, not brownstoner.com, so they're a 3rd party. For some reason I can see comments and post in the forum, but in the main section I can't even read the comments because disqus.com is blocked by my corporate proxy / firewall. Because of that, I read less and rarely if ever comment in main section - only occasionally from home.

    • Yep, it's because of disqus.
