Name that weed?

3:43 PM 05/02/2012

Can anyone help me to identify this plant that has been coming up vigorously in my garden?  I moved a lot of things around this past fall, but I don' recognize this one.  It is about three feet tall now, with alternate leaves and it looks like a flower head is coming up.  I'm loathe to rip it out until I'm sure of what it is.
Thanks for any suggestions!

Check out weedalogue.  They've taken great, and often beautiful, pictures of a bunch of weeds and weed like trees and arranged them alphabetically by common name(s) and scientific name.

It's a bit hard to tell, but my guess is some sort of milkweed (because of the height and the leaves.)  I would have to see the flower to be sure.  Look up Aclepias, there are 100+ different kinds.
