Water feed valve leak issue from boiler

11:07 AM 01/07/2013

I am having an issue with small leaks from the boiler used in our building.
The leaks seems to be coming from the air gap fitting of the backflow preventor (photo attached).
Although the leaks are not severe (a few drips per day), i want to understand whether this is indicative of an issue requiring repair -- or if it is 'normal' to see leaks stemming from the air gap fitting.
I am a novice so would appreciate any insight on this issue... thank you in advance!

This is normal. That's why it's piped to a drain. Don't worry.
