Brownstone Co-op wishes to install an Intercom/Buzzer system - any installer recommendations?

5:25 PM 01/07/2013

4 unit co-op wants to install an Intercom and buzzer system on exterior of bldg plus add a lock and striker to outside door (no lock currently).  Interior door would need a striker added as well (currently have a lock).  If anyone has had any experience with this type of endeavor and has a recommendation for an Intercom brand and person or company to do the work, would appreciate hearing from you.
Thanks much

Call Sean from Tri-State. They have a great licensed electrician who did all the retiring in one of our brownstones which included your run of the mill intercom system with bells and buzzer (striker). Affordable and wonderful to work with, they will offer a free estimate.

    • I would guess that a licensed electrician is overkill for an intercom system. As it is low voltage I don't think you need a license. Having said that, I've never found an intercom company I've been happy with so if anyone does know of one, please do post.
